Roz Fletcher's fine art practice addresses complex concerns
beyond the unreal societal systems, to engage with a holistic one-being-world ideology.
Work is fun and fun is work, with discovery through materiality, outcomes are playful but serious.
Roz Fletcher uses clay to interpret the body’s subconscious, exploring the medium’s plasticity as a psycho-dynamic object and somatic prompt to manifest memories and experiences lodged within.
Her work calls for participation with primal systems, through guided meditation and bodily awareness, connection to self and others, the human and the beyond-human. She externalises the unconscious through the body’s relationship with clay and other natural materials.
Roz has developed a range of low-fire glazes and uses a solar-powered kiln.
Roz Fletcher engages with art collectives, raising awareness of human/nature interconnectivity through creative workshops in schools, community, and gallery spaces.
